How Can I share Netflix account with my friends or family after the latest Netflix Household rules ?
The "household" error on Netflix typically occurs when there's an issue with accessing or sharing an account within a household.
In simple words, Netflix can be played on 1 Household Wifi. Netflix wants us to use 1 account only in one household.
You all might have faced such images while using shared Netflix account. Be it TV, Mobile or Laptop. Netlix is showing Household error.
below are list of issues that can happen with or has already been happened.
- When you Login to Netflix on TV and your TV is connected to Wifi, Netflix shows household error. it may be due to your wifi IP address. Netflix AI detects your wifi IP and if the IP is different from primary household it shows household error as shown in above image 1st. here are the ways to resolve this error.
- Method 1: click on update Netflix household option, it will show option to send email instruction. click on send email.
check your email, click on update household option, then Netflix will set your this wifi as your primary household. All the device that will be connected to this wifi, Netflix will work fine in all those devices. - Method 2: disconnect your TV from wifi and connect it to your mobile hotspot.
in this way your IP gets changed and Netflix things you are travelling. Then Household error gets resolved. If this method is not working. clear your cookies and cache, uninstall and re-install your app and login again to Netflix and then try it shall work. - When you login Netflix to your phone. laptop or Tablet and then it shows household error.
Solution: disconnect your Laptop, Tablet from wifi and connect it to your mobile hotspot. - Even after connecting to mobile hotspot Netflix shows Household Error like in Image 2 and 3.
Solution: Click on watch temporarily option, it will send a email with OTP to login, after entering the OTP you can watch it for 14 days without and issue. again after 14 days you can repeat the same process.
